Hi, we're Damian and Latoya Pinnock-Wilson,

and we are the founders of Josiah Speaks Hope, Inc. 

 

Having been married for over a decade, we strived to have a second child when doctors once told us that we would never have children. 

 

Our firstborn was 12 years old when we found out we were pregnant. We were so excited about our second child, who was, with no doubt in our minds- a miracle. The good news spread rapidly amongst our friends and family, and soon, everyone was just as delighted to receive our bundle of joy.

 

On April 22, 2019, we were 34 weeks pregnant and attended our regular perinatologist appointment. We will never forget the moment we were told that our baby boy, Josiah, had no heartbeat. 

 

The experience of our loss was traumatic and hit hard; our hopes of expectancy became shattered in a split second.

 

As we navigated through our grief in the coming days, weeks, and months - we had the incredible support, love, and understanding of our friends and family.

 

We survived the pain and grief, and now, we carry Baby Josiah in our hearts. Our healthy healing process helped us recognize that his tiny feet left a big footprint on our hearts.

 

Our baby Josiah is not here physically, but he speaks hope, always. We want you to know you can do the same too. Life has its punches; just know that you are never alone. We know you can get through this with time, support, hope, and compassion.

Josiah Speaks Hope Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to reducing pregnancy loss, infant loss, and infertility issues; while improving care for families who experience such tragedies such as stillbirth and babyloss. We are a community of families, health professionals, and individuals dedicated to providing and helping families to have a healthy healing process where hope and memories are cultivated. 

 

We serve parents, grandparents, siblings, and others in the family unit, as well as the professionals who care for grieving families. Our services include bedside companions, phone support, face-to-face support group meetings, resource packets, private online communities, memorial events, and more. 

 

 Josiah Speaks Hope, Inc. positions itself to offer societal impact, applied through strategies to maximize human and environmental well-being improvements to reduce pregnancy, infant loss, and infertility issues.

 

Our services and support are delivered with comprehensive attention to address the stigma and taboo behind the trauma of pregnancy loss and infertility issues. We serve our purpose as a God-centered NGO by providing equal and confidential family connection sessions to support women and families affected by maternal loss, pregnancy, infant loss, and infertility issues. 

 

 

We provide a safe space and support with confidentiality that assures the safety of women and their families via programs that will assist and support their healthy healing transition from their traumatic experiences. In addition, better-coping skills develop by providing quality service and referrals to meet the need of individuals, mothers, and families. 

 

Josiah Speaks Hope, Inc. works with individuals through a healthy healing process, so they can live a meaningful life as they evolve and create memorialization of their babies.
